Firefighter Valentino, with Recruit Class #320, graduated from the Massachusetts Firefighting Academy in Stow on Friday May 10, 2024. Some examples of the intense ten week program include classroom instruction, physical fitness training, skills training, and live fire evolutions. With firefighters today handling a lot more than fighting fires, the recruits are trained to respond to a multitude of hazards and emergencies. A total of 33 firefighters, representing 12 Massachusetts fire departments, graduated the 50-day Career Recruit Firefighting Training Program. Firefighter Valentino is assigned to Group 4 beginning next week. Congratulations and welcome to the best job in the world!
